The wooden track racing was a very American competition. The first velodrome flooring, born for track cycling competitions. Initially the bikes just entered them for pursuit races, where bikers rolling on the track after a motorcycle usually led by their coach trying to achieve the highest possible speed.
It was popular in the mid-twentieth century, but today only a few European countries like Germany and Switzerland maintain national championships.
Over time it became clear that the bikes could also compete in these circuits, and at that time, were no more than bicycles with more solid chassis and a motor.
Gradually these competitions with motorcycles began to attract more public emphasis on the former, and which were much more exciting races and competed, where speeds reached were much higher.
