During the years of the Second World War, BMW left civilian production machines to fully concentrate on the manufacture of aircraft engines and the powerful R-75 with sidecar, for the armed forces, this motorcycle could move in places as diverse as Russia, Finland, north Africa, Europe, etc..
750 new units of this motorcycle came to Spain in 1943, within the “Program Bär” a financial aid agreement between Hitle in Germany and Franco in Spain. Today these motorcycles are highly valued by collectors worldwide.
