Harley Davidson Mº W 1937. Motorcycle with high quality of restoration and originality. Documented with good work.
In 1937, Harley-Davidson introduced the models of the “W” series equipped with a 737cc engine whose most notable feature was the system of re-circulating oil, significantly reduced maintenance.
The previous motorcycles had been equipped with a lubrication system which caused continual losses which forced the driver to constantly check the fluid level, the correct adjustment of the pump and also carry a bidon extra oil.
Throughout its history, Harley-Davidson has been using a combination of letters to designate the different models it manufactures.
“W” indicates that the bike is equipped with a 737cc engine, side valves introduced in 1937 and first used in the “W”.
