In 1927 obtained the rights Indian ACE motorcycle, thus adding a four-cylinder engine to its catalog . In 1931 , Henderson Clevaland and had ceased production , but Indian persevered in the four cylinders until 1943.

Initially, the Indian Four was marketed under the name Four Colligiate , and Ace was basically a renamed. But over time, became more Indian .
