One of the most coveted Indian models , the nature of its engine running and its rapidity , without doubt one of the most valued trophies for collectors of Indian .
In 1927 obtained the rights Indian ACE motorcycle, thus adding a four-cylinder engine to its catalog . In 1931 , Henderson Clevaland and had ceased production , but Indian persevered in the four cylinders until 1943.
Initially, the Indian Four was marketed under the name Four Colligiate , and Ace was basically a renamed. But over time, became more Indian . Its engine was a 1,265 cc always , but their mechanical properties were varied , and in 1938 , returned to the engine completely designed in order to increase performance and improve cooling and lubrication.
Along with many other four-cylinder motorcycles , the Indian Four was the most prominent : a real “queen of the road .”
