Norton H18, from 1936. It works properly.

After 20 years producing motorcycles with side valves, Norton in 1922 designed its first OHV engine, according to the exigencies of the moment;

As usual, the pre-production tests were carried out at Brooklands  and soon it came to the field of competition, creating little impact on the Senior TT that year.

Success in the Isle of Man did not come until 1924, by Alec Bennett; assuming a major publicity for the model.

The H18 model quickly gained reputation for performance and reliability.

At first it was a machine with sporting pretensions, but after the arrival of the OHC engine, the H18 model can move easily between the Touring.

Although with the same engine, in 1928, the Model H18 had several design changes, especially in the 30s, when his tank underwent major changes.

In 1954 the model was deleted along with other motorcycle with side valves that shared broad way.

Today is a very appreciated by the most demanding motorcycle enthusiasts.
